Around the World in 70 Analysts

It’s that time of year again: nominations for The Analytical Scientist Power List 2020 are now open!

Use the form below to nominate.

We hope you’ve realized by now that we publish a Power List every year and, whatever the twist, we always give you, our regular readers – and the wider analytical community – a chance to shine a spotlight on the most influential (but possibly underappreciated) analytical scientists.

For 2020, we’re celebrating analytical achievement across the four corners of the globe by featuring 10 leading researchers based on each continent. For the sake of clarity, we’re inviting nominations for individuals working from:

  • North America,
  • South America,
  • Europe,
  • Africa,
  • Asia,
  • Australia/Oceania,
  • and Antarctica (we appreciate this one will be more challenging, but thought it was worth a try)!

If you haven’t seen the List before, take a look at our 2019 “Top 100”. Did someone you know or admire miss out on a deserved spot in 2019? Now’s your chance to right the wrongs of the past.

We hope to see a vibrant and diverse list for each area, and we are looking forward to sharing standout stories of the scientists making a difference. Please submit your nominations using the online form (embedded below). We accept nominations across all areas of analytical science (please don’t neglect/forget your colleagues in industry). After the nomination process, our independent judging panel will have the final say as to who makes the cut.

Nominations will close on August 24.

About the Author
Matt Hallam

I've always wanted a job that fosters creativity - even when I worked on the assembly line in a fish factory. Outside work, I satisfy this need by writing questionable fiction. The venture into science writing was an unexpected departure from this fiction, but I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to combine my creative side with my scientific mind as Editor of The Analytical Scientist.
