It’s that time of the week again – time for the anticipated newsletter from your favorite (we hope...) magazine, The Analytical Scientist.

This week’s focus: (bio)pharma. As Koen Sandra describes in his guest editorial below, we’ll be exploring this field in depth in the coming months – dedicating a small portion of each issue to do so. Accordingly, we’ve also included three stories of researchers employing myriad techniques to target crucial elements of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. As the scientific community races towards effective treatments and vaccines, I do hope you’re all safe and well. I look forward to the day we are reunited in a conference hall.

Matthew Hallam, Editor.
