The KNAUER nano flow cell for micro- and nano-LC separates the detector from the flow cell. Bringing the flow cell direct to the end of the column minimizes the dead volume and optimizes the peak-sharpness as well as the separation. This makes the nano flow cell ideal for the application in nano-LCMS, which is nowadays done without an additional UV-detection for an optimal separation.
