Miguel de la Guardia Cirugeda

A professor of analytical chemistry at Valencia University, Spain, since 1991, Miguel de la Guardia Cirugeda has published more than 480 papers on basic and applied analytical chemistry in the fields of spectroscopy and chromatography, including studies on automation, sample preparation and speciation. He is co-author of a book on Green Analytical Chemistry and co-author of four additional books on food analysis and green analytical chemistry. “With 33 supervised PhD thesis and 5 registered patents, I’ve tried to be a good teacher and researcher and I will continue to do so,” Miguel says, “I have three daughters and two sons, which is probably one of the main reasons I am involved in environmental protection.”
