Paul G. Stevenson
“Many curious children like to pull things apart to see how they work, now I get to do this on a molecular scale” says Paul Stevenson of his career as an analytical scientist. After completing his PhD at the University of Western Sydney in September 2010 he completed a post-doctoral appointment at the University of Tennessee and now works at Deakin University, Australia. Paul is an early career researcher and has investigated the separation of a number of food products while developing novel approaches. “The separation of natural product extractions is fascinating because the small changes in concentration profiles can say so much about the underlying biological processes,” he says.
