  • Profile

Meet Koen Sandra

Calling: “I started engineering studies to keep all perspectives open. During these studies I became intrigued by life sciences and business, and decided I wanted to perform research within a company.”

Regret
: “No, not at all. I cannot imagine doing something different then what I’m doing now.”

Emphasis
: “My main focus nowadays is on applying chromatography and mass spectrometry for full characterization of proteins, lipids and metabolites.”

Triumph: “Starting up a successful life science business delivering high level R&D in (bio)pharma and diagnostics.”

Hope: “Being able to further expand our (bio)pharma activities, allowing us to offer world class R&D and GMP/GLP activities. Being able to successfully apply our lipidomics and metabolomics platforms in studying diseases.”

Prediction: “I have high hopes for the technologies of MS based protein quantification, MS imaging, ion mobility MS and 2D-LC.”

Advice: “There is nothing wrong with being ambitious, but this also means that you have to work hard to realize your dreams. You can always get valuable advice from people at all levels.”
