Shodex OHpak SB-800 HQ Series: Polymer-based Columns for aqueous Size Exclusion Chromatography (GFC)

The column series OHpak SB-800 HQ is suitable for the analysis of water-soluble macromolecules, among others synthetic polymers, polysaccharides, PEG-proteins as well as surfactants, within a wide molecular weight range. The stationary phase consists of pure polymer-based particles (i.e. polyhydroxymethacrylate) which can be offered with different pore and particle sizes. The great pH stability within the range from 3 to 10 offers not only the possibility to analyze polymers under acidic, but also under basic conditions. Moreover, the aqueous eluent can be replaced by organic solvents like DMF (except SB-802 HQ and SB-807 HQ) and to some extend by methanol and acetonitrile which enables also the analysis of partially water-soluble polymers and nonionic or ionic hydrophobic samples.
