Faster Karl Fischer titration with HYDRANAL-Methanol Rapid
Dry methanol is the most commonly used medium in Karl Fischer titration, however it is an unbuffered solvent. The volume of Hydranal-Composite dosed into the titration vessel during conditioning depends on the water content of the methanol. Even if a titration vessel is in a good condition, the pre-titration usually takes 1-2 minutes. The following titration of an average amount of water in the sample takes 3-4 minutes. When using Hydranal Methanol Rapid, you will see a clear improvement in speed and accuracy of the titration. This is due to the accelerators in this medium, which enable an optimal titration.
Honeywell Research Chemicals’ history in the industry dates back more than 200 years to when chemist Johann Daniel Riedel started production of pharmaceuticals in Berlin. Today, Riedel-de Haën™, Fluka™, Hydranal™, Chromasolv™, TraceSELECT™ and many other world leading brands are now part of the Honeywell Research Chemicals portfolio, providing researchers with a choice of high-quality, consistent chemical and analytical reagents, designed to improve productivity. The Research Chemicals business is headquartered in Seelze, Germany. It manufactures high-purity solvents and reagents for laboratory research and testing applications.
