From UV-VIS to NIR: Highest sensitivity through three detectors

Shimadzu’s UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer ‘UV-3600 Plus’ provides highest sensitivity through three detectors: a photomultiplier tube (PMT) for the ultraviolet and visible regions, and InGaAs (indium gallium arsenide) and PbS detectors (lead sulfide) for the near infrared region. To ensure high sensitivity over the entire measurement wavelength range, the InGaAs detector bridges the gap between the PMT/PbS switching wavelength where sensitivity is typically low. The UV-3600 Plus covers a wide variety of applications in the ultraviolet, visible and near infrared wavelength range and targets the measurement of liquid samples. But a wide range of accessories enables analysis of solid samples as well.
