The Axcend Focus LC®: A compact micro-flow HPLC Systems that Enhances Productivity and Performance

Progress in separation science is driven by the demands of forensic, environmental, and biological scientists who have for many years pressed the need for faster, smarter and, crucially, smaller technologies – compact and portable instruments, in other words.

The Axcend Focus LC is a shoebox-sized, hand-portable, UV-Absorption-based capillary HPLC that, weighing just 17.6 lbs., you can move inside a fume hood, a glove box, onto a production line or into the field.

The question has always been: would greater portability mean sacrificing performance? The Axcend Focus LC operates up to 10,000 psi and seamlessly integrates with other instruments, like mass spectrometers and auto samplers.

Today’s novice and experienced separation scientists are pushing forward progress with capillary systems. Most HPLCs require scientists to manually adjust their hardware configurations, but Axcend’s  compact, tool-less, and easily swappable cartridges make hardware setting modifications fast and easy.

Micro volumes translate to cost savings. With the Axcend Focus LC, you’ll use under 10 mL of solvents per week and produce roughly the same amount of waste. Not only is the Focus LC competitive pricewise, but the ongoing costs to operate a capillary system may be as low as 1/1400th of your current expenses for solvents and waste disposal.
