Several substances are able to interact with the usual inert column hardware materials including stainless steel or titanium. Sensitive compounds are oligonucleotides, nucleotides, peptides/proteins or coordinating small molecules. Their adsorption on metallic surfaces typically leads to peak tailing, loss of recovery and sample carry-over.
The newly released YMC-Accura Triart (U)HPLC columns are characterised by a bioinert surface coating of the column body and frit. They provide excellent peak shapes for sensitive compounds, prevent carry-over, secure recovery and are ideal for the use in highly sensitive LC/MS analyses. YMC-Accura columns are available with all eight YMC-Triart stationary phases.
