Over the last few years, mass spectrometry based proteomics has evolved into an extremely powerful enterprise.

In this technical note, we present an overview of the directDIA workflow and its application to a set of six human liver samples derived from healthy and adjacent cancerous tissue.

Blood plasma and serum are the most common sample types in routine diagnostics as well as for biomarker discovery. Targeted proteomics, a mass spectrometry based method, allows absolute quantification of more than 100 proteins per sample analyzed in a high-throughput mode.
