Methylmalonic Acid: Evaluation of Sample Preparation and Simplicity of Method Implementation

| Contributed by Biotage

This poster is a summary of various sample preparation strategies for the extraction of MMA from serum without the necessity for derivatization, prior to LC-MS/MS analysis. Also, the simplicity of transfer to an automated sample preparation platform is evaluated.

Extraction of Urinary Hormone Metabolites using Supported Liquid Extraction prior to HPLC-MS/MS Analysis.

| Contributed by Biotage

Presented here is a rapid and reliable sample preparation method using Support Liquid Extraction (SLE) to extract a suite of 30 urinary steroid hormone metabolites. Matrix effects are eliminated by the ISOLUTE® SLE+ protocol giving a sensitive, linear assay with excellent clinical utility.

LC/MS/MS Analysis of Aflatoxins in Hops After Solid Phase Extraction Cleanup

| Contributed by Sigma Aldrich

A straightforward, cost-effective and quick method, coupling SPE methodology with LC/MS/MS for the sensitive detection of four aflatoxin compounds in the hops complex matrix with recoveries of 97-119% at 6-25 ppb levels.

Revolutionize Biosimilar Screening Processes with nanoDSF

| Contributed by Nano Temper

nanoDSF is a new and powerful tool for rapid screening approaches in biosimilar development. It enables narrowing down the number of promising candidates in hours instead of days or weeks. Download the full application note to learn more.

Analysis of Pesticide Residues in Cannabis Using QuEChERS Extraction and Cleanup Followed by GC/MS/MS Analysis

| Contributed by Sigma Aldrich

Cannabis (marijuana) has been legalized for recreational and/or medical use by 23 states, the District of Columbia, and the territory of Guam.

Comprehensive insights into tobacco smoke constituents using TD–GC×GC–TOF MS with Tandem Ionisation

| Contributed by Markes International Ltd

In this Application Note, we use thermal desorption (TD) for collection and analysis of whole cigarette emissions, and couple it with flow-modulated GC×GC–TOF MS, to enable smoke constituents to be routinely and confidently sampled, separated and identified.

IC-amperometric sugar analysis in honey according to EU regulation 1169/2011

| Contributed by Metrohm

EU Regulation 1169/2011 defines rules for nutrition declaration on foodstuffs. The objective is to provide food information to the general public and to label food ingredients that are hazardous to health when consumed in larger quantities. This Application Note describes the determination of four sugars in honey.

In-process control of ergoline psychedelics during chemical synthesis by HPTLC

| Contributed by CAMAG

TLC is a simple and convenient tool for monitoring classical organic syntheses. Standardized HPTLC may additionally provide reliable analytical endpoints and significantly improved separation.

EPA Method 1694: Analysis of Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products in Water

| Contributed by UCT

This application note outlines a SPE procedure using UCT’s Enviro-Clean® HLDVB polymeric sorbent for the determination of 64 PPCPs in water according to EPA Method 1694.

UHPLC Separation of Ginseng extract using coupled solid-core columns for increased peak capacity

| Contributed by VWR
