The CDS Photoprobe is a unique module for CDS Pyroprobe that employs high power xenon lamp and free-space focusing technology to irradiate sample in the Drop In Sample Chamber to introduce environmental degradation with the combination of UV light (250 nm to 400 nm), programmable temperature and user-selectable reactant gas. The intensity of the UV light is 800 mW/mm2, which shortens the testing time from month to minutes. The spectrum of the Photoprobe closely mimics the UV-profile of the natural Sunlight. One minute of irradiation is equivalent to 2 month of direct Sunlight in the equatorial regions.
